With so many things to see in a museum I found it fulfilling today to just focus on a few. Here are three paintings from Hudson River School artists of landscape in New England.
This morning we are waking up exhausted from a reality that has always been there but we’ve been too afraid to acknowledge. We are vulnerable. Perhaps more vulnerable today, at this moment when we feel like it is all over. The lockdown proved effective and we got our man, but the blood of our fallen still stains the sidewalk. There will be an emptiness at Vassar and Main when I walk into my building, one that can never be filled.
